The service

Fareproof estimates fair taxi fares from route data, live traffic and taxi tariffs. It is provided by [Company or sole-trader name], [address], OIB [number].

Estimates, not proof

Fares are estimates. Meters, GPS and traffic data all have small errors, and tariffs can change. Fareproof shows a range and flags rides clearly above it, but it is not an official measurement and not legal evidence. Company tariffs are what each company publishes on its own website, with the date we checked them; the taxi you get into may charge differently. Always stay polite and safe; never let a disagreement about a fare put you at risk.

Account, checks and passes

A free account includes 5 fare checks in any 12 months; a free check becomes available again 12 months after you used it. One trip counts once, even if you change the destination within 10 minutes. The Week pass (7 days) and Holiday pass (14 days) start at your first check after the purchase, not on the day you buy them, and do not renew. Traveller (yearly) and Host (monthly) are subscriptions that renew until you cancel. Paid plans include up to 10 checks a day, to keep the service fair for everyone.

On the website our payment partner Polar is the seller of record and issues your receipt and VAT invoice; you cancel from the link in your receipt email. In the App Store or Google Play, Apple or Google sell the pass under their terms, and you manage subscriptions in your store account.

Host links

A host link is for the host's own guests. Do not publish it on public websites or share it beyond your guests. We may disable links that are used beyond that.

Refunds

For purchases on the website, ask within 14 days and we refund in full, in addition to your rights under EU consumer law. For App Store and Google Play purchases, refunds are handled by Apple or Google.

Partner links

On trips to or from an airport we may show a link to book a transfer with a partner (Welcome Pickups). We earn a commission if you book. The partner sets its prices and terms and provides the transfer; Fareproof does not check its prices and is not a party to that booking. The link never changes the fare check.

Legal maximum fares

Fareproof shows the Croatian legal maximum fare (Narodne novine 111/2026, applying from 1 January 2027) as published. It is information, not legal advice.

Sharing results

You are responsible for what you post. Naming a company or driver publicly next to an accusation can have legal consequences, which is why company names are off on shared cards by default.

Law

These terms are governed by Croatian law. Mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence still apply.
